Danae looks the answer to a competitive conditions contest, where a number of the runners have bee highly tried and found wanting. Danae's victory over the highly regarded Melodramatic, a winner since, at Newmarket, was a game effort, with the pair pulling clear. Henry Candy's runners normally improve significantly for their first run and as that was only the second run of her life she is entitled to progress. The opposition seem much of a muchness, runners who have been exposed in Listed or Group races. Once Upon A Grace looks the pick of the opposition, having won an Irish maiden on debut in testing ground, and most recently running a respectable race in a Group Three. She can improve for that seasonal re-appearance and hit the frame. Steam Cuisine was just behind her in that race and placed in aListed contest, a race of this quality would seem to be within her capabilities. She is also proven on the easy surface. Broken Applause has a touch of class but needs to improve on a disappointing re-appearance. Danae turned in a fine performance last time and could be anything.
