Michael Scudamore's point-to-point winner HEMINGTON ran well back under rules when last seen when finishing a decent third behind Dennis The Legend in the valuable Champion Novices' Hunters' Chase at Stratford in May and a reproduction of the form shown that day may see him being good enough to take the honours in this contest so he gets the vote with the main dangers rated as We're Confused and Oranger. Tony Martin's gelding ran well back under rules when finishing an admittedly well beaten third behind Baby Run on testing ground at Warwick last week and he has to be considered, especially if the market speaks in his favour. Cash In Hand has a bit to find with the selection on Stratford running and of more interest may be David Easterby's My Old Piano, who has disappointed in previous starts under rules but has shown improved form in recent starts between the flags. Shraden Edition made a pleasing reappearance here last month and has to be considered but he tends to find at least one too good and a bigger threat may be We're Confused, who ran well when chasing home Pristine Condition at Market Rasen last month. The vote though goes the way of Michael Scudamore's Hemington in the hope that he is fit enough to show the form that he is capable of.
