Omix D'or stayed on well when successful at Market Rasen last month and the James Evans-trained gelding has to be respected off just a 5lb higher mark today but the even more testing ground may be against him and preference is for THEDREAMSTILLALIVE, who gets the vote ahead of Wherrimon. Caroline Bailey's gelding won well over course and distance last month and has every chance despite having to race off an 11lb higher mark but that win came on good ground and he has not been at his best on soft ground before so may have to settle for a place at best. Midnight Diamond has failed to take to fences and has only been placed once from seven starts over the larger obstacles, while Captain Smoothy has struggled off his new mark over hurdles since winning at Exeter in December and now reverts back to fences having been well held on his only previous start over them. Jim Old's Thedreamstillalive has shown signs of a return to form of late and the yard's runners are in good form so he looks worth siding with on ground that suits.
