In depth

Verdict

Serve Time, second in a similar contest at Ballinrobe on his chasing debut, has to go on the short list but it may be best to adopt a watching brief on For A Finish, who was a progressive sort over hurdles earlier in the year but has been off the course since June. Charlie Swan's mare Hot Oscar, a three-times winner over hurdles, has shown enough to suggest she'll be winning soon over fences but preference on this occasion is for STEEL MAGNATE. His jumping has been much improved since the tongue-tie was fitted and connections now look to have found his best trip.
