Verdict
After 22 starts under National Hunt Rules, Betabob is still chasing that elusive first win. Michael Moran's seven-year-old is back in maiden company after finishing third in a handicap at Ballinrobe last time but may find one too good again in the shape of GENTLEMAN JEFF. Dermot Weld's gelding, a winner twice on the flat, has finished runner-up twice at Galway this summer in better races than this and deserves a change of luck. Paul Carberry rode Mister Castlefield into third at Down Royal last week and the partnership has place prospects again while there are also possibilities about Belville View, who was placed in a couple of bumpers last season and has hinted at ability over timber.
