Our judgement comes down in favour of Court Approval although the verdict in this competitive nursery is far from clearcut with Special Cuvee, Today's The Day and Crystal Moments all seriously considered. The selection finished nearer last than first in the Windsor Castle Stakes before finding one too good back in maiden company at Windsor last time. He gave every impression that day that he would be suited by the step up to this trip and that he had the ability to win a race and he should go well from his high draw. Crystal Moments' Doncaster defeat looks a little better now given that two of the three in front of her that day made the frame in the Group 3 Princess Margaret at the weekend and she should also be suited by the sixth furlong on offer here. Today's The Day's conqueror here last time went on to run well in a Listed race at Sandown last week but she may still need a little more time. Special Cuvee won well enough at Southwell last time and Sir Mark Prescott's runner is feared more but his form isn't anything out of the ordinary and the handicapper hasn't taken any chances although it would be no surprise to see him improve. A competitive race to which Court Approval may be the answer.
