A maiden that shouldn't live too long in the memory but one that can provide KAZBOW with a deserved success ahead of Alpha Vega and Starburst. Luca Cumani's gelding has taken second on each of his last three starts, the last of which over this course and distance when disappointing many as the odds-on favourite, but that form still sets the clear standard here and Kieren Fallon can drive this one home at the seventh time of asking. Alpha Vega rates the clear danger having improved upon a modest debut when fourth here last time. That effort over slightly shorter suggested the best may yet be to come although it is possible connections will find easier opportunities in handicaps and the likely favourite should have this ones measure today providing he runs to a similar level of form here. Starburst carries the second best official rating of 60 but that is some 12lbs below that of the selection and so the filly has work to do conceding a pound to that one here. That said this trip should prove ideal and George Baker may be able to snatch a place aboard this daughter of Fantastic Light for the in-form Andrew Balding yard. Mediterranean Sea is next best on the ratings but this one was beaten out of sight in a poor course and distance handicap last time off just 50 and so surely won't be winning this whilst the others look up against it. Kazbow is likely to start a warm order but deservedly so and he rates the confident selection.
