close up, ridden over 2f out, no impression and soon weakened
tracked leaders, effort and hung right 2f out, kept on same pace
held up behind, headway 2f out, carried head high and chased winner over 1f out, always held inside final furlong
missed break, soon prominent on outer, ridden along over 2f out, soon weakened
held up toward rear, ridden 3f out, never troubled leaders
tracked leader, led going well 3f out, quickened and stayed on well final furlong
held up rear, moderate headway over 1f out, never dangerous
Tahreeb, the pick of Marcus Tregoning's two runners, has the beating of Azarole in the Free Handicap but may once again have to settle for a minor role with the vote going to the reappearing Leicester Square. Trained by Mark Johnston as a two-year-old, the son of Gone West now runs under the Godolphin banner and, with the stable hitting form now, he looks the one to be on. Not disgraced in fourth in the Royal Lodge when last seen, Leicester Square is taken to further frank the form of that race and give Snow Ridge's supporters a timely boost a week before the Derby. Tahreeb was highly tried as a juvenile and has lost no caste in defeat in two starts this term. He rates the main danger in a race that is probably more his level, especially now that his stable is back in form. Stablemate Mustajed was well beaten on his return at Goodwood recently and is probably best watched at present and of more interest is the Terry Mills-trained Resplendent One, who is less exposed than most and makes his first start of the campaign today. The remainder make limited appeal in a race that is taken to go to Leicester Square.
