Peter Winkworth's runners are going well at present and Arkholme looks capable of continuing that good form in this ordinary contest, with Welcome Stranger the main danger and Sweet Indulgence another to have a look at. Arkholme has gone up 4lb for a three length defeat of Hoh Bleu Dee at Ascot last time out, but in addition to that he had been in good enough form when second at Newmarket beforehand, and with trip and ground to suit, plus being nicely weighted with his rivals here it can pay to support him. Welcome Stanger drops in class here and is not well in on official ratings with the selection. He was running on well when just held at Ascot last time and is unlikely to be far away again here, but on balance has a little to find. Kieren Fallon partners Sweet Indulgence for the first time since the pair won at Newmarket on the colt's debut last August. He takes a considerable drop in class to run in this and is also not badly off at the weights, so connections can clearly feel they have a chance, but with arguably more in his favour and some confidence under his belt, we think that Arkholme is the one to be on.
