Liszt needs a market check for an in-form yard, however from a shortlist of King Olav, Cairnsmore, Becausewecan and RED CADEAUX, it is the last-named who is selected. Ed Dunlop's gelding was under-par when last seen at Haydock in September, when he looked to have plenty in his favour. However he is perhaps better rated on his Doncaster win in August and as a result this 6lb higher mark looks manageable. Baylini is the sort of horse who might relish this bigger field and is not to be ignored, along with Martyr who may be well-treated on this return to action and also Mafeking and King Olav who both have excellent course records. Porgy is unexposed on these shores, Dansili Dancer has run well fresh in the past, whilst Cairnsmore romped home here in January before flopping last time and he might find this company too much at this stage of his career. Stablemate Becausewecan ran a blinder in defeat last time but he might be pestered too much for the lead, so bigger threats could be Demolition and Formidable Guest who both look fairly treated at the foot of the weights. Pevensey and Liszt both need market checks, however we are happy to plump for Red Cadeaux.
