BERBICE is taken to follow up from his recent success to land the finale at the expense of Dinners Date and Hawaana. The selection carries a six pound penalty for winning over course and distance last week. That was his fist success for over two seasons and he had become well handicapped as a result. Connections are keen to take advantage of his current mark and for that reason he is worth staying on the right side of for the time being. Dinners Date is four pounds higher since winning at this venue last time out. He seemed to have benefitted with the drop in trip and with conditions in his favour once again he has to be respected. Hawaana has the services of Frankie Dettori and has recent winning form to his name. He won nicely at Lingfield over a similar trip and with luck in running he should not be far away come the business end of the race. Berbice is the form horse in the race and takes preference.
