Mick Channon's La Gifted now seems to be in the grip of the handicapper following her wins at Wolverhampton and Catterick last month and a better bet looks to be ANNES ROCKET, who gets the vote ahead of Rockfield Lodge. Ian Williams has his team in good order and the son of Stravinsky has run better in recent starts and has been given a chance by the handicapper having been dropped another 3lbs since his most recent start. Boss Hog often flatters to deceive and tends not to find a great deal at the end of his races so a bigger threat may come from Loyal Royal. Milton Bradley's gelding has only won twice from 45 starts but he has gone close in each of his last two outings and should be thereabouts again. David Arbuthnot's Leelu won her maiden here well enough earlier this month but is likely to struggle back in a handicap off a mark of 56 and a better bet may be Annes Rocket. The four-year-old has to be race off a 5lb higher mark than when successful over course and distance in a handicap last time but that is a fair rise and he is taken to follow up.
