Cave Lion ran a strange race last time but he's the type of horse that his trainer excels with so we will give him a chance here ahead of Murrin and Totally Focussed. The selection set too frantic a gallop last time on his handicap debut and paid the price for that as he was weakening and beaten when suffering interference near the finish. Under a more restrained ride today, as his jockey will probably need to implement from his less than terrific draw, he should run a big race. Totally Focussed is one of many course and distance winners in the line-up and did it well last time, whilst Officer and Cross The Line both look to be fairly handicapped at present. Moonlight Man is consistent but has a tough task under top-weight, whilst Golden Penny makes more appeal at the other end of the weights after his C+D success earlier in the month. Priti Fabulous has shaped as if ready to strike gold recently, so along with Jo' Burg and Murrin must be afforded respect; however in a really tough finale we will take a chance on Cave Lion.
