      Verdict

      Gravitas and Hearthstead Maison are the two on official ratings but it would be unwise to ignore Many Volumes; we will go with Hearthstead Maison. Mark Johnston has his horses in better form now and this tough-as-old-boots colt drops in class today. Only beaten by three lengths in the Group Two York Stakes, if he handles this surface then he should be hard to pass. Gravitas hasn't been seen for almost half a year where he was well-held in the Sheema Classic; this is obviously a drop in class and whilst he has a bit to prove, Godolphin seem to be having more success in these smaller races of late. Big Robert doesn't seem to have trained on, whilst Dansant and Kandidate are talented but each may struggle to concede weight to some interesting rivals. Many Volumes is consistent and deserved his Listed win recently, however that didn't look much of a race for that level. Another good race in which we will side with Hearthstead Maison.
