A dire affair and Oasis Sun is put forward as only a tentative selection against Dishdasha, Summer Bounty and Mid Valley. Oasis Sun has struggled to trouble the judge over her career but she does seem to like Kempton Park and if she can overcome a moderate draw, this is hardly the toughest of assignments in which to defy a 7lb rise up the handicap. Dishdasha was well punted ahead of a recent Lingfield classified stakes. From a win perspective, Jamie Spencer may have slightly overcooked the waiting tactics but he was a long way clear of the rest. Summer Bounty is a likable veteran but the handicapper isn't doing him too many favours at present. Mid Valley ran his best race to date to finish second over course-and-distance. Some may have argued him to be an unlucky loser. Now is the time to see whether this was the case. Whaxaar has to reverse form to win this although it is worth noting that he has only had the one race over this trip. Certifiable hasn't shown much since returning from a number of years' absence. Oasis Sun is not the most bombproof of selections but she could be good enough to defy a rise in the handicap on this occasion.
