Often in these basement grade handicaps it pays to take your chance with one showing a bit of form and on that premise we give the verdict to COLOMBARD after his good run in defeat last time while others to consider could be Cocktail Party and Summer Rose. A neck was the margin the selection missed out on in a slightly better race over longer at Lingfield last time out. He beat a subsequent winner home that day so although he has extra weight to carry he should still go well in this company with the trip looking the only concern. Cocktail Party has at least won over this minimum trip, which came at about this time last year. He showed a spark of form over course and distance on his latest start and if building on that he should go close. Summer Rose won her final start of last season but hasn¿t quite shown that form in two starts this term. That said it took her a while to get going in her first campaign so a better run could be in the offing. Commander Wish has been solid a best recently but wouldn't have to improve much to get involved but in a very poor contest Colobard looks the form pick.
