Hotel du Cap is the pick over Moonshadow and Battalion, with His Honour worth a mention at least. Hotel du Cap had three runs as a juvenile, but always looked the sort to follow this term, and his recent return at Leicester did nothing to dispel that theory. Geoff Wragg's colt came up against a useful sort in the shape of Aryaamm, but came out of the pack to chase home the winner in determined fashion, and this extra two furlongs should help him to go one better here. Moonshadow has a lot to live up to, being a full-sister to the Oaks winner Love Divine, but so far, despite being placed on all three starts, has looked pretty one-paced. Battalion was a major disappointment at Newmarket in July and has been off since. There may well have been something amiss and it would be no surprise to see Sir Michael Stoute's charge improve. His Honour caught the eye at Newbury, and this half-brother to Riyadian will not mind the step up in distance so is worth a mention. However, Hotel du Cap looked a sure-fire future winner at Leicester, and is taken to come good.
