This looks best left to Dragon Flower, with Joyful Tears, Krikket, Regal Quest and Sweet Request the ones to scrap it out for the places. Based on her solid debut effort at Newbury last month behind Russian Rosie, the Barry Hills filly Dragon Flower looks nailed on for a maiden, and should safely uphold the family honour here. A full-sister to the Dewhurst winner In Command, her dam is related to Royal Applause and Lyric Fantasy, and this young lady will be worth a fortune at stud with some black type next to her name. It is always dangerous backing this type of animal on their second start as they very often fail to live up to the promise, but on this occasion it is hard to see just what can beat her. Joyful Tears was well down the field on her Leicester bow, Krikket likewise at Lingfield, while Regal Quest to be fair, did run a bit better than her finishing position suggests in a fair Goodwood maiden. Sweet Request may have some ability, but like the other newcomers, is best watched, and so, although Dragon Flower will be a short price to oblige, she is hard to oppose.
