HALSION CHALLENGE gets the nod in the finale, while Beckenham¿s Secret, Balerno and Dynamo Dave complete the shortlist. The last named (like a number of the others) already has a bit to find with the selection and needs luck on his side. However, he is unexposed at Kempton and the new venue may bring about some improvement. Balerno has been around for a while (he even has a Kempton Flat Turf race success to his name.) he is capable on his day but is not going to be improving at his age. Still, this is a weak race and he has a feasible chance of making the frame in this company. Beckenham's Secret often flatters only to deceive and is not the strongest of finishers. However, things will no doubt fall into place for him again one and, as this is his level, he cannot confidently be discounted. However, Halsion Challenge has marginally the best recent form profile and, as he may also be sparked into life by racing under the floodlights, the mount of Robert Winston is taken as the best option in the last.
