Safin was a last-gasp winner at Wolverhampton last time and will have his supporters here but we will take him on with DONTPAYTHEFERRYMAN. David Evans has his runners in great form at present and if the gelding, who won over hurdles at Chepstow on Friday, takes his chance, then he will be full of confidence. Although he has not won on the Polytrack before he has run some good races in defeat and also from higher marks than this, so he has definite claims. Safin did at least win last time, but it was a very weak race and as an inconsistent performer we can take him on. Schinken Otto is on a good mark again, having been campaigned largely over fences of late. He acts on the surface and comes from a yard in form, so he is much respected. Prince Of Medina is proving expensive to follow, while Ardmaddy probably needs a further drop in the weights, and we prefer the claims of Dontpaytheferryman.
