Mountain Cat is selected ahead of Lindhoven and Geordie's Pool. Willie Musson's charge won recently at Wolverhampton and that race has certainly stacked up from a formbook perspective. On this return back to the artifical surfaces, he could be capable of further progression. Geordie's Pool may have found ten furlongs a little sapping on the stamina front. A run over eight furlongs could be an effective half-way house and the market is watched. Lindhoven does have a little to prove on the formbook although the use of first time headgear makes him of some interest in what is essentially a weak affair. Beckenham's Secret has become disappointing of late but this trip might be the ticket based on what we have seen thus far. Front-running Citrus Chief could be a danger to all if securing a soft lead. Course-and-distance winner, Inquisitress, makes most appeal of the rest. Another competitive race with plenty of imponderables and Mountain Cat appears the horse most open to progression.
