        Verdict

        Placed in a handicap last week, Twice As Likely is fitted with headgear as she returns to novice company having won a fillies' only race at Newbury back in June. Progressive Rating finished closer at Salisbury last time when finishing in front of The Blue Bower and should also figure but SPIRITOFTHENORTH (NAP) gets another chance in this. He floundered in the soft ground at Nottingham last time but finished a promising third behind a couple of subsequent winners at Pontefract on his earlier debut and Kevin Ryan’s colt can go close in this on that evidence.
