In depth

Verdict

A competitive Classified contest with Red Romeo, Buy On The Red, and Instant Call all with recent winning form but the vote goes to Taaqaah. The Marcus Tregoning trained gelding has we admit been a little frustrating of late finishing second at Thirsk over seven furlongs and then second to Another Bottle at Newbury over the mile. Each time he¿s been beaten by the better horse on the day but has failed to finish strongly. So with this drop in trip is taken to score. Of the others mentioned Red Romeo will have his supporters with the Champ Fallon on board and is bidding for a hat-trick after winning at both Pontefract and Windsor over his favoured six furlong trip but this looks tougher. Buy On The Red is another hat-trick seeker after wins in Class D and C handicaps at Brighton and Newmarket but again this looks tougher. Instant Call did well to win at Ling field and is definitely worth noting in the market. But for the winner the tentative vote goes to Taaqaah.
