Verdict

The Commendatore has started a short-priced favourite in both runs to date over this track and trip and has been a bit disappointing though first-time blinkers should sharpen him up. He'll be difficult to beat but ENREACHING looks the one to be on. James Fanshawe's charge showed the benefit on his opening run at Lingfield in October when coming here three weeks later and just failing to hold Amanaat over 7f. He was leading at tonight's trip and can go one better. Both Custard The Dragon and Footlight were behind The Commendatore here last time though the former wasn't beaten far while Richard Hannon's newcomer Howardian Hills is a half-brother to five winners including the useful Kingscroft.
