Coda Agency is well weighted today and gets the nomination in preference to Amwell Brave and Grasp. The last named has been plying his trade under both codes of late with varying degrees of success. However, the son of Kayf Tara hinted that his turn is not too far away with a solid effort at Nottingham last month and, as he is unexposed on this surface, another bold bid cannot be ruled out. Amwell Brave, on the other hand, has bags of experience on the artificial surfaces and can usually be relied upon to give his all. A losing run stretching back just over year is obviously a bit disconcerting though and, as he has received no help from the handicapper, he looks to face a stiff test. Therefore, we go with Coda Agency, whose recent form is solid (in the context of this race) and, with his ability to handle the track proven, the three-year-old is fancied to get one over on his elders this afternoon. The booking of Jim Crowley is also a big plus in a staying event like this.
