    Verdict

Fares has been given a chance by the handicapper and is selected in preference to Benayoun and Emergency Services. The last named was very good value when he won a very weak seller at Windsor last month, but showed that he is holding his form with a solid effort at Nottingham when he was last seen out. However, Benayoun comfortably came out on top in that encounter and it would come as no surprise to see the form upheld this afternoon. Mark Tompkins' charge looks feasibly very well treated off his current rating and a bold bid is expected from the son of Inchinor. However, Fares has the edge in terms of experience and, as he can be expected to improve for the switch to an artificial surface and the fitting of headgear for the first time; Clive Brittain's representative makes the most appeal for a punt on this occasion.
