An interesting contest with several lightly raced and potentially well handicapped types taking on more experienced rivals. Recent maiden winners Golden Lariat and La Paz fall in to the former category and both are capable of making an impact on their handicap bows. Preference is for Sir Michael Stoute's charge who showed a most willing attitude when making all to score with something in hand at Bath and looks capable of further progress. Afadan now looks high enough in the weights having landed a Newmarket handicap last month while Gentleman Venture is on a winning mark but would prefer more ease in the ground to show his best.
