      Verdict

      Meritocracy was still beaten three lengths when third at Pontefract last week. He's not making any noticeable progress and Touch Paper may improve past him. The latter was no match for stablemate Suite at this track last time but should finish closer in this. PRIMITORIO ran well for long way on his debut in soft ground at Windsor before fading in the closing stages. Ralph Beckett's colt gets the nod on this faster surface with Caesars Gift and Hot Stock hard to fancy in this company.
