In depth

Verdict

Tebee gets a narrow vote over Raise The Goblet, Silver Mitzva and Music Review, with Limbo King added to the list of challengers to John Gosden's runner. With the inmates at Clarehaven stables thriving, hopes are high that Tebee can keep the pot boiling. The daughter of Selkirk made all to open her account over 10-furlongs at Pontefract in July, but failed to follow up at Windsor next time. Whether it was the 5lb rise, the step up to 12-furlongs, or indeed a combination of both that contributed to her defeat is questionable, but she remains a scopey individual, and if getting into a rhythm up front on the far rail, can make all to make amends. Raise The Goblet gave over a stone to Western Point when second to that rival at Yarmouth three weeks ago, and has a course win to his credit, while Silver Mitzva did it well enough at Yarmouth last time and might have a few pounds improvement in her. Music Review tries the Polytrack for the first time, and maiden Limbo King likewise. This could be all about tactics, and for the reasons stated earlier, Tebee is preferred.
