In depth

Verdict

MUTAFAJER can see off Forest Crown and Young Simon. Godolphin's inmate has proved expensive to follow but his presence has scared off many of the early declarants and we are hopeful that he can overcome a bad draw. He should have enough early to take a position. Forest Crown started stickily on her previous visit to Kempton though finished in a manner that suggests a small race is within her compass. Young Simon almost pulled off a 100/1 shock at Yarmouth but he was never dangerous at Windsor last time out. Lago Indiano is a half-brother to an Irish Oaks winner but there have been winning juveniles in the pedigree. Welsh Artist was a relatively cheap son of Sakhee. His dam is closely related to five furlong winners. Key Light has to be closely watched in the market as his mother was a particularly smart juvenile. Mutafajer is given a chance to redeem himself tonight.
