      Verdict

A fair handicap with plenty of quality on offer. Recent Chester scorer Chic is anticipated to account for Camelot and Impeller. Sir Michael Stoute's filly has always been held in high regard at Freemason's Lodge and demolished a useful field of maidens at Chester in May. Camelot finished down the field in a big handicap at Newmarket at the back end of last term. He is far better than that effort suggests and with the trainer enjoying one of his best seasons in a long time, it would be folly to write him off. Impeller was a tad unlucky at Lingfield last time out and has sound overall form. The only negative is that his best form tends to come in strongly-run cavalry charges. He would not be suited by a tactical race. Pinkerton has produced two forgettable efforts this term and would need to improve to take a hand. Boundless Prospect, Invader and Dance on The Top are difficult to fancy at these terms.
