James Given's two-year-olds are always ones to note and the booking of Kieren Fallon points to Reidies Choice ahead of Avonloch and Red Trance. Both the sire (Royal Applause) and the dam (Fairy Ring) were smart performers at two years of age and with the Given team in fair form; Reidies Choice could prove the value against the field. Avonloch finished down the field at Newbury last week in an event won by the useful Mustajed. He looked in need of the run on that occasion and should have come on stacks for the appearance on the track. Red Trance finished second at Windsor on Monday evening to Fortunately. She did nothing wrong in defeat but the winner is fairly exposed. Scarlet Breeze and Blofeld have plenty of questions to answer on all recent evidence.
