PRIDE OF INDIA returned from almost 12 months off the course to finish third at Lingfield in May and while race fitness will have to be taken on trust, he is a tentative selection to land this maiden. The market should provide clues to his chances also given connections while of the remainder Pivka, Onemoreandstay and Cadre appear the obvious dangers. Pivka drops back to seven furlongs having raced very keenly over a mile last time while Onemoreandstay steps up one furlong having raced over six furlongs on her first two starts. It would be surprising is she was good enough to land it while Cadre was noted staying on in the closing stages on debut in a back-end maiden. Low draws for the last two mentioned are big negatives. Gold Again is an interesting newcomer from the Swinburn yard. Pride Of India is given the vote to land it.
