Verdict
JANEIRO is preferred to Lucky Mellor and Ramool. Tom Dascombe is far from being a one trick pony but his juveniles have made the biggest impact on the upper tiers and that trend shows no signs of stopping with the Lambourn based handler boasting a thirty five per cent strike rate with his youngsters this term. This one ran a fine race in a decent conditions race at Beverley which went the way of Lily Agnes runner-up Archers Road and should take all the beating. Lucky Mellor could struggle to concede weight to that rival and it would be unwise to compare the two on a line through Koo And The Gang. Mactrac is presumably deemed capable of better than he showed at Salisbury whilst headgear may assist Marosh but Rumool is clearly best of the rest following a useful debut performance at Newmarket. However, ready preference is for Janeiro.
