French Mannequin can outstay her rivals to score again, with Dark Parade, Arch Folly, Laggan Bay and Lefonic all expected to make their presence felt. French Mannequin has had a two-month break since landing a selling contest over a mile-and-a-half at Wolverhampton in June, and in fact this will be only her third outing of the year. Paul Blockley's mare therefore lines up fresher than most, and with no doubts about her ability to last out the trip or handle the Polytrack, she is the pick off a light enough weight. It would be difficult to find a poorer claimer than the one won by Arch Folly at Chepstow, and she is definitely worth taking on, while Laggan Bay will at least be fitter after a recent run at Bath, but does not catch the eye. Dark Parade was a close second over the course-and-distance the time before last, and under usual pilot Jamie Jones, can prove to be the main danger. Lefonic's last two wins have both been on an artificial surface, so he has to merit a mention, but for the winner we return to French Mannequin.
