Verdict

ELYSIAN FLAME never threatened One True King, rated 130, when runner-up at Leicester but that looks decent form in this context and Mick Easterby’s charge can open his account over hurdles. Lady Villanelle is penalised for winning at Hexham on her reappearance while Fete Champetre is fitted with a hood for his hurdling debut having won a bumper here last month. The Electrician showed major improvement when second over track and trip to an odds-on favourite on his first start over timber with Bollingerandkrug perhaps best of the remainder.
