The mare Poetic Presence won between the flags last year and has shown some promise over hurdles. Fly Rory Fly won over timber in Ireland was second in a chase at Wexford last July, though hasn’t raced since the following month and has his first run for new connections. VERY FIRST TIME was a decent staying hurdler and could be an even better chaser judged on recent wins at Hexham and Newcastle. Going and stamina won’t be a problem and he can give 6lb to Ayr fourth Acdc. Brian Hughes has ridden the latter in both victories to date but prefers Tim Easterby’s novice today.
