Verdict

Tight Call beat Skiddaw Valleys three lengths at Southwell but the runner-up is now 5lb better off so there shouldn’t be much between the pair today. CHAPMANSHYPE is conceding plenty of weight to both but Jamie Snowden’s prolific winner produced another career-best at Fontwell last month and, though possibly best at that track, he has fully earned another 10lb rise in the ratings. Newtown Boy was far from disgraced on his reappearance at Perth and is a past winner here. He is much respected but this might be too competitive for Cartmel specialist Beeno. Weather Front has been running on the Flat and was just beaten at Wetherby when last seen over timber so can’t be ignored.
