Pat Haslam's Welsh Dream showed enough to suggest he could win a race of this nature on his hurdling debut in November when third to Man Murphy to warrant support here. The son of Mtoto comes into this in decent form on the flat and has to be respected. Taffs Wells, who is of a fair ability on the level, has also shown good form over timber having finished second to the useful Leatherback at Fakenham six weeks ago. However, the nine-year-old is not a certain stayer, especially on this stiffer track. Colonial Sunrise, twice placed in bumper company, could go well at an each-way price.
