It will be a surprise if this doesn’t chiefly concern the two previous winners. MISTER COFFEY and West Cork appear well matched on the form book but the former has the most scope and only had to be pushed out to make a winning debut over timber at Newbury ahead of some useful novices. The latter was always travelling best when making it third-time lucky over hurdles here last time but may not have the speed of his market rival. None of the others make much appeal with Flat winner and debutant Al Kout best watched having never won on Turf.
