In depth

Verdict

Balgemmois, Master Work and Early Retirement could all benefit from a slight drop in class. Master Of Finance didn’t run badly back over hurdles at Fontwell and something was clearly amiss with Royal Ruby here in March. SHINING ROMEO goes well on sharp, right-handed tracks and has already won twice around here. He could have done without a 5lb rise for finishing second at Kempton but has his ground so shouldn’t be far away, though hasn’t done particularly well over this longer trip in the past. Black Buble has suffered a 12lb hike in the ratings for his win at Bangor and may not be as well suited by quicker going.
