In depth

Verdict

A competitive novices’ handicap to get proceedings under way. Bardd has every chance on the form book and the James Bowen’s presence in the saddle is a plus. Cap St Vincent appears to be improving and Cosmic King and Candyman Can could be nicely treated. A slipping saddle cut short BLAZON’s run in an amateurs’ race at Ludlow on Tuesday. He didn’t get far so should still be relatively fresh and an earlier fourth here is the best form on offer. Hattaab, Working Class, Mountain Path and Way Out West are all worth a second look.
