A very poor start to proceedings may see Wardash come good at the expense of Love Triangle, with Madison Avenue, Let's Celebrate and Reedsman all just as likely to pop up. Bets should be kept to the absolute minimum here as Wardash is certainly no good thing to oblige, but there is hope to be gleaned from the fact that he is trained by Martin Pipe, and also the fact that he should now be a lot fitter after his return to action. That was at Market Rasen in April when the ex-German gelding finished third in a similar contest to this. He was sent off favourite then, and did not shape too badly with a tongue-strap fitted for the first time, so as long as he acts on the fast ground this evening, he should go close off a light weight and with Pat Merrigan taking off a handy five-pounds. Love Triangle left the Pipe yard after finishing second in a Ludlow seller back in December, and has since been campaigned on the all-weather by Stef Liddiard. He now shoulders topweight on his debut for Neil King and will come on for the run. Madison Avenue goes on the ground but is not certain to be suited by the drop back in trip, but Let's Celebrate only just about stays two miles. Reedsman has a light weight and comes from a stable in form so is another to note, but Wardash is the tentative pick.
