On all known form, the winner should come from the top half of the handicap, with Tufty Hopper, Fandango de Chassy and Blow Wind Blow the three to concentrate on. The latter hails from the in-form Jonjo O'Neill stable and was returning from a 19 month lay-off when down the field at Warwick on his British debut. A triple scorer in Ireland, he failed to add to his tally when put over fences, and looks like being kept over timber for the time being. Any move in the market should be noted. Fandango de Chassy carries topweight, but is a classy sort, and was highly rated when trained in Ireland by Tony Martin. He was in front of Blow Wind Blow last time and this former winner of the Newmarket Town Plate for his current handler will be staying on at the finish. The slight doubt is that he would prefer an even stiffer test of stamina. The one with the most scope is Tufty Hopper who has had a break since scoring at Sedgefield on Boxing Day. He is not badly treated for his first handicap, plus the Ferdy Murphy team are fling at present. He is taken to return with a bang en-route to better things.
