DIVALI PRINCESS proved herself a smart sort in bumper company last season culminating in a fine second behind Carole's Legacy in the valuable mares bumper at the Aintree Grand National meeting. The apparent stable second string in that contest, it looked a strong renewal in April and while the winner Carole's Legacy disappointed at this venue on Sunday, if she takes to hurdles she should have too much class for these. Ready To Crown, a three year old bumper winner at this venue, was moderate on the flat with a rating in the 50s. Ashley Petale was the centre of controversy on debut when catching the eye of the stewards. She fulfilled the promise she had shown in her first two starts to run out a ready winner at Fontwell in February. The fact she was so green throughout made the victory even more impressive while the third has franked the form by finishing third in what looked a decent Cheltenham bumper in April. Serengetti Sunset hails from a stout jumping family but has showed little in her two outings while Tom George and Paddy Brennan have an impressive strike rate when teaming up. Je Ne Sais Plus is their representative and this French recruit has winning form in soft ground over 12 furlongs in his native land. He raced keenly at Southwell on his UK debut. It is hard to see any of the remainder getting involved and Divali Princess is taken to land it on her hurdling debut.
