Alan King looks to have found a perfect winning opportunity for COSMEA to double her tally over hurdles here in this juvenile hurdle confined to fillies. Currently heading the majority of ante-posts lists for the Triumph Hurdle, any concerns about her ability to see out the two mile trip were unfounded when she beat subsequent winner Nampour on debut at Wincanton. The runner-up is reportedly highly regarded which adds more substance to the belief that she could be very smart. Tight, flat tracks like today's venue suit early season juvenile hurdlers and while one would like to see her relax more in the early stages of today's race, her hurdling was very fluent and she raced right to the line. The weight structure of today's race is much different to that of her debut but she should posses too much class for her rivals here. Kahsabelle is an interesting French recruit from the Venetia Williams yard who did well with a similar type Dansimar last season. This filly has not scored in six starts in France, her final start being in claiming company. Kijuvu won a weak juvenile hurdle at Hereford in September and has since disappointed in two flat outings. She was moderate on the flat and will struggle to concede weight in novice company. Kashmina ran a fine race on her hurdling debut at Kempton while the form was given the minor boost when the fifth finished second at Wincanton last week. Sheena West does very well with moderate flat horses who switch to jumping and should anything go amiss with the favourite, Kashmina could be the one to capitalize. She Is A Cracker is worth monitoring in the market beforehand but Cosmea should win this if connections harbour hopes that she could potentially be a Triumph Hurdle contender.
