Dougall has been running well in point-to-points of late and has to be respected on his rules debut but this really looks to be little more than a match between DAVOLERIA and Always Bold with preference for the former. Mick Easterby's mare ran promisingly on her chasing debut over course and distance last month when finding just the one too good and she went one better when successful at Kelso last time, a run that makes her the one to beat even under her penalty. Flying Doctor has shown improved form over hurdles of late but needs to improve further to win this on his first start over the larger obstacles, while Miss Sunflower has been well beaten in points and under rules and is readily discounted. Don McCain's Always Bold has run well in both starts over fences this term and he should be involved at the business end of the race again but Davoleria sets a decent standard and looks the one to beat.
