In depth

Verdict

Prince Dundee and For Jim have both won three times around here with the former, beaten a long way in this when favourite a year ago arriving in better recent form. Amalfi Doug is very much a Perth specialist having gained all of his seven career victories on that track but The Vollan has only been raised 2lb for scoring at Southwell a couple of weeks ago. BRIAN BORANHA, once rated 139 over fences and only 5lb below than mark over hurdles these days, has raced on soft ground since scoring at Catterick from 6lb higher in November. Providing the going remains on the quick side he can get back on the winning trail. Cooldine Bog hasn't won since 2019 and has changed stables.
