Billsgrey will be popular after a seven length success last time but we will take him on here with REXMEHEAD, while Impact Zone may also show up well. The last-named, a six-year-old inmate at Mick Easterby's Sheriff Hutton yard, races from the same mark as when beaten comfortably on fast ground at Towcester last time. Stamina is clearly his forte, and he doesn't act badly on softer going, so he is not out of this, though he probably needs a further drop in the weights. Billsgrey came good at the 25th time of asking when scoring at Carlisle on heavy ground a month or so ago. The handicapper has reacted by putting him up 13lbs for that win, and given his previous record that makes him opposable today. Editors Rose represents a yard going well enough and at the weights should not be far away from Billsgrey after that Carlisle defeat, but we prefer the claims of Rexmehead. The nine-year-old was the narrow winner of a conditional jockeys' contest at Southwell last time and has gone up 5lbs for that. He also goes well here and with cut in the ground, and although exposed, we think that he has enough going for him to follow-up today.
