The usual bumper pointers apply here, namely check the market and look at both those with experience and those from yards that do well in this sphere and we'll tentatively suggest PERKIN WARBECK to make it third time lucky. Mark Rimell's gelding finished runner up in two bumpers last season, but the latter run was a very decent effort on soft ground at Kempton. The trainer looks to have his runners in good nick and he can have another winner here. Molly's Garden has done well in points before a decent bumper debut at Southwell last time and is respected. Like Minded is a well-related pointing winner and Don Cantillon does well with his bumper runners, so on his debut under rules this gelding is worth a look in the market. Know Your Place also commences his career here and is related to winners, though Jonjo O'Neill's runners don't appear to be at their best at present. Over The Hill is another to consider from an in-form stable, but Perkin Warbeck sets the standard and gets the vote.
